I’m moving to quarterly emails because it makes more sense in my stage of life. Also, as nice as is to be able to share updates on my creative work, newsletters are not the most exciting things to write!
Writing
I wrote another short story for Resilient Magazine! You can read “The Mushroom Man” in the Spring 2024 issue. https://www.muskokabible.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/MBC-Resilient-Magazine-Spring-2024.pdf
My piece "The Redemption of Villains" came out in Love is Moving Issue 55, Resurrection. It was one of the most interesting, fun, and possibly controversial pieces I've written. It's all about antagonist trends in movies, television, and literature, and how different villain stories say things about our humanity. https://loveismoving.ca/2024/03/14/the-redemption-of-villains/
I had two pieces published in Unlocked Daily Readings for Teens!
“Rock Tumbler Friendships.” January 26, 2024. https://unlocked.org/podcast/rock-tumbler-friendships/
“Understanding Bible Visions." March 16, 2024. https://unlocked.org/podcast/understanding-bible-visions/
Photography
I’m doing lots of photography around Redeemer University again this semester! Here are some favourite shots so far this calendar year.

I also went to Ripley’s Aquarium in Toronto and had a ton of fun getting some cool photos along the way.

What I’m Reading
I’m going to reread The Wingfeather Saga this summer, but first, I had to read Adorning the Dark by Andrew Peterson. It is a wonderful, encouraging book on creativity, Christianity, and community. I’d recommend it for artists and storytellers of all kinds, and if you like The Wingfeather Saga, it offers some glimpses into Andrew Peterson’s brilliant imagination.
That is all for now. See you in three months!
